Extract Multi-Tar Files On Windows Or Mac

Very large files have to be split into multiple units in order to be downloadable. 'Tar' is a data compression format that packs files into parcels of varying size and also unpacks them again later.
Multi-Tar file names end with sequential numbers. For example, the following archive files feature seven individual data parcels:
The Avosound order confirmation will inform you if the product is a Multi-Tar download.
We use the following freeware to unpack Multi-Tar files: Keka.
Download Keka for MacOS here. Keka is a freeware tool and you can find more information at the Keka-Page.
Unpacking .tar files will not work until all packs have been downloaded. Please download all .tar files from your download first, otherwise the untar will fail.
As soon as files have been dragged to Keka, Keka will ask if these files should be packed or unpacked -> Please move the file to ‘Unpack’
5. Keka will now unpack the Multi-Tar.
6. You can delete the downloaded Multi-Tars as soon as Keka is finished unpacking them.
For Windows we use the following freeware to unpack Multi-Tar files: 7-zip.
